"Those who are generous are blessed, for they share their bread with the poor." Proverbs 22:9 NRSV
As followers of Christ, we strive to “love our neighbors” in real and tangible ways, to “feed the least of these” in thought, word and deed. Therefore, as a supplement to the Grenada Food Pantry, All Saints is committed to maintaining a small food pantry at the church to serve those in need on emergency occasions. With our “Little Red Wagon” collections on the fourth Sunday of each month, as well as other food and financial provisions of the parish, we keep our food pantry stocked with canned goods and non-perishable staples in order to distribute the goods to those in need who are passing through Grenada, as well as residents of Grenada and surrounding communities who are having difficulty making ends meet. With limited space and supplies, as well as our intention of “emergency” outreach, our parish food pantry is open every Tuesday and Thursday, as well as in cases of emergency. Those who seek assistance are asked to provide some form of identification. In turn, individuals are provided one bag of groceries, no more than two or three times in any given year, depending on circumstances.
In addition, through offerings of food and resources, All Saints strives to support outreach efforts of the Grenada Food Pantry and the Grenada Soup Kitchen. And we try to help connect those in need with these community resources.
Currently, our Parish Food Pantry
is coordinated by Sandra Jones. For more information about how to support our
